Events that occur this year act as catalysts that get you in touch with some important issues in your emotional life. Your emotions run high, and mood swings or identity crises are possible. There may be some kind of conflict in your life arising from a great urge to do something different. It promises to be a busy, dynamic, and significant period in your life.

At the time of your birthday this year, the Sun conjuncts Mercury. You have a lot to do in the period ahead! At times, you may feel like the pace of your life is running ahead of you. You can be especially productive, however, in all types of communications--writing, speaking, learning, teaching, and so forth. As long as you manage to pace yourself, this can be an especially alert, communicative, and productive year.

Venus forms hard angles to Saturn and Neptune in your Solar Return chart, affecting either your finances or romantic relationships, and possibly both areas. With Mars in hard aspect to Uranus, this can be a year when bursts of restlessness, rebellion, and impatience figure prominently. You have a tendency to take risks and to act on sudden impulses without considering consequences. You assert your will and individuality powerfully, and you are ready to fight for freedom. There may be changes in work schedules, or life's circumstances could challenge you in such a way that you need to change your goals or actions. This can also be a time when you tend to resist others and challenge them if they are trying to hold you back. Arguments and confrontations are likely. Technology may be a source of irritation, and electrical appliances may break down or not work up to par. Energy fluctuates this year. Anger can erupt seemingly from nowhere. If you aren't too rash or impulsive, you might be able to free yourself from restrictive circumstances. You could also have more courage than usual to do things that break the routine, and confrontations engaged in this year could clear the air and help you to move forward.

The year ahead is bound to be especially eventful. You are itching for change--not content with the normal routine--and this basic orientation attracts unusual events that keep you on your toes. Impulsiveness might push you out of negative habit patterns, but you should probably avoid instigating change randomly just for the sake of change.

2008 will be a Number Nine year for you. Ruled by Mars. This is a year of completion and transition. It is a time when we need to let go of things that no longer serve their purpose, and hold on to things that have a future. It is a time of cleaning out dead wood, not necessarily for new beginnings. It can be a time when a burden has been taken off your shoulders, and it can be a year of giving of yourself.
