Composite Chart: Venus - Neptune Aspects

When composite Venus is conjunct composite Neptune:

This combination inspires a dreamy feeling of having met one another's soul mate. However, this can be a challenging relationship that seems to promise many layers of experience and rewards, but it can take quite a bit of effort to maintain. The dynamics of this relationship are difficult to understand, which can keep both of you guessing and wondering, but that can be frustrating for those who need the security of definition and structure. You tend to idealize one another and/or the relationship itself, but this leaves you open for disillusionment and disappointment if it fails to meet your first impressions and feelings. Try to avoid hanging on to your overly idealized image, because clinging to it can in fact destroy the relationship. If this aspect is prominent and in a visible part of the composite chart, such as the first or tenth houses, then you will also need to avoid living up to the wonderful image that others have of you as a couple, as this can put undue pressure on you as well. Dealing with mundane, day to day problems and details is not something you enjoy doing together, and although you prefer to keep one another in a state of bliss, in the long run, you're not doing one another or your relationship a favor by avoiding dealing with problems in the here and now.

When composite Venus is square or in opposition to composite Neptune:

This relationship can begin with a lot of hope and shared fantasies, but there is a time when realities set in and you might realize that a lot of what you've been projecting to your partner and believing about your partner is not based on reality. One or both of you might feel pressure to live up to the other's fantasies or high opinion, or you might be trying to prove your relationship to disapproving or cynical outsiders. While you might feel that you intuitively understand one another, and that you don't need to define your connection or your boundaries, it is more than likely that you don't truly know what it is your partner wants or expects of this relationship. Misunderstandings can lead to major disappointments, so it is critical that you allow one another to feel comfortable enough to express your more human needs and wants from each other. Fear of hurting one another with the truth can be strong, but eventually you will discover that lies hurt more than the truth. Hypersensitivity and treating one another with kid gloves are possible themes as you strive towards a spiritual or unconditional love, but it is vital that you ground yourselves from time to time, or this relationship might be confused and unclear.

When composite Venus is sextile or trine composite Neptune:

You inspire one another to be better people. You naturally devote yourselves to one another and accept each other, finding beauty in your partner's imperfections. Shared dreams and fantasies are an important part of your relationship. You take care of one another's feelings, which is a strong point, but it's important that you attend to the more serious and practical components of your relationship as well. It will be especially important for you, however, to keep at least some of the magical innocence that characterized the beginning of your relationship alive, as these feelings are immensely supportive of your bond. Take time for romance, for sharing fantasies and dreams, and for enjoyment of the arts together.

When composite Venus is quincunx composite Neptune:

A nagging feeling that your partner is not what he/she appears to be is present in this relationship, and can subtly undermine it over time. This vague yet persistent fear likely stems from some level of mistrust in your own perceptions. While you would prefer not to see the "bad stuff" in your partner, you can't completely snow yourself either. The best thing to do is to learn to accept that your partner is not perfect and is not entirely the embodiment of your romantic fantasies.
